Science Students Clean Up Black Point Marina

On Sunday, 10/12/14, a small group of students met at Black Point Marina in Cutler Bay. Students devoted their morning to picking up over 10 bags of garbage strewn in the mangroves. Students plan to return in the next few weeks to continue the clean up effort. They hope that their efforts will be noticed by those who frequent the marina and spark a change in the way the patrons dispose of their garbage.

Efforts were led by Caylee Sarff, Dominique Hickson, Iskar Hernandez,
and Charlene Montalvo.
